Ghent University
Ghent University is a top 100 university and one of the major Belgian universities counting over 44,000 students and 9,000 employees. Located in Flanders, the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium and the cultural and economic heart of Europe, UGent is an active partner in national and international educational, scientific and industrial cooperation. With a view to cooperation in research and scientific service, numerous research groups, centers and institutes have been founded over the years. Frederik De Decker
He holds a Master Degree in Linguistics and Literature. He has worked on internationalisation in various Flemish HEI’s and he participates regularly as an expert in international projects, mainly dealing with internationalisation, educational development, qualifications frameworks and quality assurance. Currently the Head of the International Relations Office at Ghent University.
An Van Laeken
She holds a Master degree in Educational Studies. She has been working at the International Relations Office since 2012. She has coordinated several Erasmus Mundus Action 2 projects with the Western Balkans and South East Asia. Currently she is managing several Erasmus+ funded projects dealing with internationalization.
Paul Leys
He holds a MBA in Marketing and Advertising. He has coordinated a European project, eQuATIC about quality assurance in internationalisation and mobility. He is working as a policy advisor responsible for monitoring and analysis of data in internationalisation. He is responsible for reshaping procedures to reduce the administrative burden for students and staff involved in international mobility.
Ferdi De Ville
PhD in Political Science. He works at the Centre for EU Studies (CEUS) that make high-level research on different aspects of the EUs external policies, internal-external policy nexus, and decision-making processes on external action.
Nele Mahieu
She holds a Master degree in Health Care Management & Policy and PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy. She works as a policy officer at the UGent Educational Qualiy Assurance Office. The team to which she belongs is responsible for the different stages of educational quality assurance (policy preparation, policy implementation, policy assessment).
Janis Vanacker
Postgraduate Studies in Social Profit & Public Management. She works as a policy officer at the UGent Educational Qualiy Assurance Office.
